Case Study: Sam Mayall - Skills Bootcamp in Pharmacy

Sam joined the Skills Bootcamp in Pharmacy in October 2024 to learn about the role of a Pharmacy Technician. We caught up with her at the celebration event at the end of her programme to find out what she enjoyed most and what her plans are now she's completed the programme.

Woodspeen Training (WT): How did you find out about the Skills Bootcamp in Pharmacy?
Sam Mayall (SM): I met Venetia, in Oldham, and she talked me through what we’d be doing, what I’d needs, and how the process had gone.

WT: What have you enjoyed the most during the programme?
SM: I've enjoyed learning about the different medications, what they do and how they react with the body and to make you a better, more stable and just the medication and then the active learning.

WT: What are your next steps going to be? 
SM: Hopefully I can get a job in a pharmacy. I’ve been looking in community and in the NHS. So hopefully I can progress , thanks to Venetia and Woodspeen.
